MY APPROACH TO WEDDINGS
I’m a photographer for folks who take marriage seriously, but don’t take themselves too seriously.
Weddings are joyous, nostalgic, emotional, and incredibly meaningful events. Clients who I truly connect with value the importance of their wedding as a symbolic commitment to each other. They want the focus to remain on the celebration, their relationship with their friends and family, their relationship to each other. They know that planning and preparation are important, but on the day of, it’s time to let the little things go and enjoy every minute of a day that’s going to fly by.
My goal is to blend documentary photography with classic portraiture. I live for the unscripted moments, the wide range of emotions that I see on wedding days. I love capturing all of these feelings through photographs as the events of the day unfold. However I also love being a resource for my couples. Someone who can capture the things they might otherwise miss, while still being able to jump in and provide direction as necessary.
When I come into the lives of my clients, I recognize that they have been working hard to create a beautiful story. The story of their commitment, and everything that brought them to this moment. My job is to document the things they’ve already built, to tell the story they’ve already been writing, and to do it in a beautiful way.
One of my greatest joys is that I’ve been able to build relationships with my clients over many years. My eye doctor and our cat’s veterinarian are both former brides. I’ve had clients text me selfies from the top of a volcano on their honeymoon. We have developed close personal relationships with many of our clients that involve grabbing drinks or setting up toddler play dates. Don’t be scared, we don’t have to be best friends after working together! But I want you to know that I care deeply about you, about your story, about your life, and I will work hard to capture amazing memories for you.
I believe that love is love. I’m a photographer for people from all walks of life who want to celebrate their big milestones and simple moments.

Courtney and her assistant were truly the most wonderful, kind, and sweet people we could have hoped to join us on our day. From the initial meeting, I knew Courtney was a true professional, and she fielded all of my questions with grace. I am a true type A personality who needs to have all boxes checked and questions answered, and she went above and beyond to make me feel secure leaving our booking meeting.
